# Responsible use

A head swap uses a real person's face. SwapShoot is built for creative work with people who have said yes.

## Consent, confirmed once

After you sign in, and before your first swap, you confirm once that you are 18 or older and that you have permission from the people in every photo you upload to use them this way. That confirmation covers every swap on your account; nothing runs until you give it. Everyone shown must be 18 or older, and you must have the rights to every photo.

You are responsible for the photos you upload and for checking every result before you use it.

## Results kept for 24 hours

Your photos are stored only temporarily to make the swap. Uploads are deleted within 24 hours of upload and results are kept for 24 hours after they are made, so download anything you want to keep. We never use photos or results to train AI models. See the [Privacy Policy](https://swapshoot.com/privacy).

## What SwapShoot must not be used for

Lawful, consensual adult creative edits are allowed. For sexualised or intimate edits, every identifiable person must give explicit, informed permission for the specific edit and any intended publication or distribution. Having a photo does not give you that permission. These uses are banned:

- Sexualised or intimate edits of anyone's likeness without that explicit, informed permission.
- Deceptive impersonation or presenting an AI edit as proof that a real person did something they did not do.
- Anyone under 18, in either photo.
- Using someone's likeness without their permission.
- Harassment, threats, bullying or defamation.
- Anything that breaks the law or someone else's rights.

## Label AI images

If you publish a result, label it as AI-edited wherever the law or the platform asks you to, including under the EU AI Act.

## Report misuse

If you think SwapShoot has been used on your photo or likeness without consent, or you see any other misuse, please report it. You do not need an account.
